Company Overview

DBS Construction specialises in construction, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance services. Established in 1999 we have an excellent reputation in the industry and are widely known for our efficient, realiable and trusted construction and general maintenance services.

We are greatly experienced in Council maintenance, progammed works and capital works contracts, having serviced contracts with Knox City Council and Maroondah City Council consistently over the last 12 years. During this time, we have developed a trusted and professional relationship, as evidence by our multiple contact renewel successes.

Our Team

DBS Construction currently employs 3 qualified builders, including our Director David Stephens.

Our team are thoroughly trained in and experienced with:
all aspects of our internal organisational policies and procedures;

  • providing efficient and timely outcomes for our customers;
  • required procedural documentation, including pre-commencement, SWMS, incident reporting and hazardous information reports etc; and
  • customer induction processes, including understanding of and adherence t0 guidelines and protocols.

We also maintain a fully staffed office in Ringwood. Our administration team have experience with job allocation, timely invoicing and regular job reporting in a variety of different formats.

Environmental Management & Focus

DBS Construction is an environmentally conscious business. We are committed to developing and maintaining appropriate environmental procedures that will ensure the protection of the environment for the benefit of our employees, our clients and the general community. We achieve this by:

  • Identifying any activities carried out by or on behalf of the company that might have an impact on the environment.
  • Implementing appropriate control measures that will minimise any adverse effects to the environment.
  • Providing our employees with appropriate information, instructions and training to ensure they are aware of any potential issues in the workplace that may have an effect on the environment.
  • Complying with all applicable legal, regulatory and other requirements for environmental management and protection; and
  • Flowing the company environmental procedures set out in the company Work Health, Safety and Environment Manual. This manual includes guidance on contaminated construction sites including uncovering asbestos, dust and noise emissions, working under or around existing trees, shrubs or noxious weeds, handling oils, spills, contaminated water, waste materials and cultural heritage restrictions and sensitivities.

Further to the above, we have a keen focus on re-using and recycling. Wherever possible, we recycle waste materials from job sites, we utilise recycled paper in our Ringwood office and also recycle printer cartridges and electronic waste as required.

Our team are constantly researching and exploring environmentally friendly products and solutions for our construction works. These solutions, coupled with our strong emphasis on environmental management and re-using and recycling materials could result in significant energy conservation and waste reduction outcomes for our customers.

DBS Construction currently have in place and maintain at all times, the following insurances

  • Public Liability Insurance – $20,000,000 for each occurrence
  • Products Liability Insurance – $20,000,000 for any one period of insurance
  • Workers Compensation Insurance within the state of Victoria
